Change through Conversation

Being listened to, being met in a space to 'sound things out', experiencing the full presence of another human being, and being able to reflect with someone who does not rush to judge... All these things that we experience in conversation with each other can already be transformative. A space with this type of mutual presence can become a potent agent for change and open up room to name what feels otherwise too difficult or painful to disclose or 'digest'. 'Change through Conversation' sessions offer the freedom to transmute and process shame or other distorting feelings. This session format also can help you explore personal life patterns or forms of 'stuckness' in a contained and confidential manner.


Who might benefit from this session type?
Conversational sessions are for anyone feeling stressed, anxious, constricted, blocked, or weighed-down by experiences that might generally seem too difficult to process and share. This session type provides a gentle and supportive way to start your change journey, and can stand alone or be combined with other session types. It also can be very dynamic, incorporating experience--based interventions and mindfulness-based work. 

The 'Change through Conversation' format is especially helpful if you want to explore self-awareness in relationship; get to know your past, present, or potential future selves; stabilise in times of stress, or reflect more deeply before moving into self-enacted forms of pattern-breaking. It's the place where the subconscious is holistically made conscious.

This session type is inspired by counselling or psychotherapy formats, however in Change Facilitation the environment itself can be switched up. This means that, if there is a rationale for it, some sessions can take place in other settings (e.g. outdoors, walking) or blend into behavioural-experimental / sensorimotor formats.

 

What to expect:
 

  • A 1-1 session that is 50 mins in duration

  • A confidential space to process whatever feels most present or pressing.

  • Sessions can take place online or in person (London)

  • One-off bookings are available (after the initial consultation has deemed this suitable).
